The Season is upon us, but Friday is still dead. The only stirrings are a [wine tasting](https://www.eventbrite.com/e/the-taste-of-loire-exclusive-wine-evening-tickets-1967872062312?aff=ebdssbcitybrowse&ref=examiner.media) at La Maison.

More luck on Saturday. Film scores maybe lowbrow, but theatre music can’t possibly be. The week’s most promising listing is an immersive experience of [Maradana theatre music](https://www.instagram.com/p/DRPGGPUAdv5/?ref=examiner.media), presumably from Tower Hall’s golden age. As an extra treat, it’s at the gloriously Victorian Maradana railway station.

Also, the opening night of Jehan Aloysius’ [A Christmas Carol](https://www.instagram.com/christmas%5Fcarol.lk/?ref=examiner.media). The show is only running for six nights, so catch it while you can. *Aragalaya* inspired art, with an artist [walkthrough](https://www.eventbrite.com/e/artist-walkthrough-go-home-is-within-me-tickets-1922420805379?ref=examiner.media) by Pradeep Thalawatta, at Saskia’s. While you’re there, catch the last few days of Chundamani Clowes’ [exhibition](https://www.instagram.com/p/DQoMjMRCPxd/?img%5Findex=1&ref=examiner.media) too.

On Sunday the chamber music society’s *babas* [play](https://www.goethe.de/ins/lk/de/ver.cfm?event%5Fid=27133751&ref=examiner.media) for free at Goethe Institut.

Synth your way through the week. On Tuesday, [Bread Modular Sound Check](https://www.instagram.com/p/DRMLe0PkVh7/?ref=examiner.media) for electronic music fiends (we had to google it too, but it’s by Music Matters so no doubt it’s banging). Wednesday is for the less cool: a half day [session](https://www.instagram.com/p/DQ8-s1cEW4v/?ref=examiner.media) on enhancing export competitiveness by the Chamber of Commerce.

Competitive [charades](https://www.instagram.com/stories/isleamore/?ref=examiner.media) on Thursday at Isle Amore. School holidays may be upon us, but you can buy yourself some peace and quiet: that’s right, a [Christmas creation camp](https://www.instagram.com/p/DRI-7t9EjOu/?ref=examiner.media) for the kids every single day until Christmas.
